Jankovic, Troicki and Lajovic all through,. thought the first 2 had to play maximum number of sets. I hope No1e won't spoil the 100% tomorrow.

It is normally Aussies who play at RLA until they all lose. But this year they put 3 Ukrainians to lose at RLA instead, namely Kozlova, Marchenko and now Tsurenko. Strange, isn't it?

Klizan took the first set of Wawrinka. I better tune in.

Eurosport saying Federer is the highest paid sportsman in the world despite only playing 7 events last year and 6,000 have turned up to watch him practice here.

8 points on the spin... Fed breaks for 6-5 lead. The old campaigner looking sharper as this match unfolds.

Think that might be curtains for Melzer. Federer looks pretty zoned in and closing in for the kill. 4-1. Think I'll have an early night and hope I don't wake up to any surprises.

Stan didn't play well, he has to improve his level, 5 setters are tiring, he could be out of gas soon if he continues to waste his energy like that

Both Swiss stars won't get far based on tonight's performance but great players usually find their way to up their game into second week.

Hoping Novak is sharp tomorrow. Verdasco is no walk in the park in Melbourne.

Of course he is. And according to Forbes his endorsements are growing by the day.

Heartbreaking loses for Kuznecov, Janovic, Klizan and Lu. I feel for them.

I liked to see Lacko and Lajovic win. Lajovic will play against Tsonga and if he wins, he will get reputation of French slaughterer.

Many potentially good matches in Day 2. Some of them are:

Novak v Fiasco

Brown v Raonic

Edmund v Giraldo

Haas v Paire

Mueller v Fritz

Tiaffoe v Kukushkin

Youzhni v Baghdatis

Tursunov v Stepanek

Fognini v Lopez

There are also some teenage sensations to check like Reilly Opelka, Jelena Ostapenko and Ana Konjuh. Too much tennis to watch.
