OK. I see. I think old guys are not allowed to play in the "future" series, but are allowed in "challenger" series.

Third day winners:

Cervantes, Munoz-De La Nava, Clezar, Cecchinato

Advancing to the semifinals:

Group A
Cervantes 3-0
Munoz-De La Nava 2-1

Group B
Pella 2-1
Clezar 2-1

A little concerned about Pella as he had to retire from his match today. He practically collapsed onto his bench after speaking to Cecchinato. Hope he's ok.

Sadly looks like Pella was not OK, and he could not event start his SF.
Munoz-De La Nava goes onto the final where he will meet the inform Cervantes who won his SF against Clezar.
So an all Spanish final tomorrow.

In the all Spanish final, Inigo Cervantes saved 2 MP to down Daniel Munoz-De La Nava:
6-2, 3-6, 7-6.
Well done by both of them.
Cervantes had the most wins on the challenger tour this year, 50.

What happened to the guy who won more matches than Rafa in 2013 (most of this guy's wins
were in challengers and futures)?

Some players will become just a mid pack top 100 players. Others will top in the top 40. Others in the top 20. Not all will have the same success. That is life.
Carreno-Busta is still young, but at this moment he seems to be destined to be like Ramos. But in a few years he might win a few events, perhaps like Granollers or Andujar.
