Who’s your dark horse? I’d like to see Pegula win. This is probably her best and last chance at a major
You know who my dark horse is? lol! the player that can play on grass and has the most variety in her game nonone plays like her on to tour Pegula is a surprise packet at Wimbledon this year, remember last year she didnt make it past the 1st round, she has been playing good grass court tennis

I’d also like to see Aela do well. I think she can beat Paolini if healthy. She is so wrapped in bandages, I’m afraid she’ll have to retire mid match.

BTW
Iga must be upset that she fired the coach that is now getting the best results out of Oskaka's game at RG this year and also at Wimbledon

Jazz still has foot problems since Roma, she withdrew from the doubles, I am surprised she made it this far

I think Eala is the biggest draw right now for the WTA unless Serena or Vee is on the court..
I still think it's Coco Gauff. She is the current American star with 2 slams. Eala carries the hopes of a nation and is the new sensation, but I think she needs to win something notable first before she can be considered a bigger draw than Coco.

I'd bet ESPN is secretly hoping for a Gauff-Eala final. That would get serious ratings.

That is not Going To Happen Phil Get Real LOL! and take those sunglasses off there shading your thinking as usual :)
Coco on grass is still very No No btw she took 3 sets today and her FHand is still going AWOL
Eala can get hit off the court with a big first strike player

Pusher called the Osaka vs. Sabalenka upset, just a Slam early

Not to pick on you, but I can reply to this post b/c I'm so shocked to see & hear tennis pros using that term "Slam" so injudiciously! A Slam is winning 4 Majors in a season! This has been defined, argued over, & dissected to the limit over the decades! I watched TCC & even Caroline Woz used the term Slam improperly! The only other way to use that WORD "SLAM" outside someone winning all 4 Majors in a season is if he or she "won a Slam 'event!'" That's not too improper! A Major is not equilvalent to a Grand Slam & visa versa! :angry-face::astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Gauff winning without a reliable serve and forehand is a testament to her athleticism and grit.
Come on be real you need more than grit to win a GS title and I am a fan of Coco, her grit and defence won her RG on grass you have to be aggressive and Coco plays too defensive at times

Jess hasnt got Saba or Rybakina anymore in the draw dont dismiss her so easily
Madison and Naomi hits the ball harder off the FH side than anyone and both are big servers. Coco has the best backhand in tennis.. These are weapons that I think can hurt Jess.

I am not saying AP that Jess will win the title, some big servers and big strikers can hurt Jess and yes Coco has a first class bhand
In Jess favor she can absorb pace well and is a good returner of the ball and redirect well

I think Gauff has the best backhand. However, Pegula will rush her forehand.
Has Muchova fully recovered from her injuries?

Muchova at present is healthy I want her to keep that way :)
I will also include Sabalenka's bhand which is also a excellent shot, of course when she isnt going out early in tournaments LOL!
