ATP250 Buenos Aires in 2027 will be the last edition on red clay and switch to hard court in 2028, no upgrade to 500 category is planned
Plans are underway...My relatives in Italy texted me....if Norman can help Jannik win RG in 2027 we will build a stature of him in our front yard in Sicily![]()
it's been a long time coming and not a surprise. He wanted to quit 2 years ago so he could stop traveling so much. Red must have made him an offer he couldn't refuse back then.Well this rumor has been floating around for some time,
According to @ the times, Sinner has chosen Magnus Norman as his head coach along Simone Vagnozzi, when Darren Cahill officially retiring.
I know Cahill is in Monte Carlo presently with Jannik
Personally I am delighted that Magnus Norman is coming on board Janniks's team, though I am sad that Cahill is finally retiring, and thankful for all the work Cahill has done with Jannik, he is one of the best tactical coaches in the ATP
Apparently Norman has been coveted by several Top ten players during his final season with Stan Wawrinka

I can see JCF working on his BH from day 1. Also return and rally tolerance. This announcement wasnt on my bingo card,
JCF will be joining Ben Shelton's coaching team in 2027, working alongside his father Ben Shelton
Apart from being the most annoying player in the ATP, JCF has his work cut out for him, agree his bhand is a liability, return and rally tolerance are poor, he has to stop carrying on getting in peoples faces, typical college tennis stuffI can see JCF working on his BH from day 1. Jodar is no saint either. Perhaps JCF found it challenging to take Ben and see what he could do there to improve him as a player. But agree, coaching Jodar would make more sense.Apart from being the most annoying player in the ATP, JCF has his work cut out for him, agree his bhand is a liability, return and rally tolerance are poor, he has to stop carrying on getting in peoples faces, typical college tennis stuff
Good luck JCF, actually I thought he would coach Jodar, oh well.
Jodar and his attitude to ball kids is disgraceful and I wish he would do something about his shoe laces which come undone at critical times in the matchJodar is no saint either. Quite frankly if Chuck didnt make the ufe in the 5th set he would have won? coming back from 5 months off the tour not bad to make a QF at a GS, his final match against Zverev, he had no game plan what so ever, Zverev exposed Ben's poor BH for starters, amongst other things in his gameBefore the announcement, I was just coming here to say Ben has done nothing since he beat Chuck at the USO. Must be some kind of perm letdown. No wonder he wants to hire JCF. I don't see how this works out. JCF looks like the asst coach and not the main coach. If I remember correctly, it was Carlos father who gave JCF his walking papers.
