64.2 million pounds + 20% compared to 2025, this is the largest increase in the history of the tournament at Wimbledon
The Singles Tournament winners will take home 3.6 million pounds, about 4.2 million euros. While the finalists will get 1.8 million pounds, 2.12 million euros

Arthur Fils has withdrawn from ATP500 Halle next week, Fils is not entered in any grass tournament before Wimbledon, hopefully he will be able to play at Wimbledon, this is concerning., as Fils also withdrew from s-Hertogenbosch tournament, hip injury
I seriously doubt he would try to play Wimbledon without any prior grass matches

Agreed, playing Wimbledon without a single warm-up match on grass sounds like a recipe for disaster. Especially with how tricky the movement can be on grass early on. Really hoping he recovers in time though, would love to see him play!
Off topic but has anyone had any luck with the Wimbledon resale ballot this week? I’ve been trying to get Court 1 tickets for days to watch Alcaraz but literally nothing is showing up. Feels impossible this year.

Some Wimbledon News,

Tomorrow, the tournament board ( Wimbledon) will meet to assign the wild cards
Berrettini and Dimitrov have requested a wild card to play in the main draw ( when entries closed)
Matteo didnt yet have enough points from his RG QF and was outside the Top 100
Berrettini a former finalist, will have to play qualifers unless he is granted a wild card ( same for Dimitrov).
The tournaments commitment deadline is tomorrow, official confirmation will come on June 15

Question, I think I know the answer..Does qualifiers get paid even if they don’t make the main draw? I can imagine the week before the tournament could be pretty pricey.

Yes qualifiers get paid if they do not make the main draw
GS tournaments tired prize money for qualifying rounds ( usually Q1 Q 2 and Q 3) meaning players earn a specific payout for every round they play in

The 2026 Mens Roland Garros final between Zverev v Cobolli had a viewership of just 1.3 million viewers on TNT sports
The lowest of any Roland Garros mens final in the last 20 years! I am not surprised with these ratings it was a 'painful mens final match to watch! I only watched it because I had a Italian in it, other wise I had other more important things to do with my time!
Down 25% on last years final Alcaraz v Sinner clash

I kind of knew the answer, but I used goggle to clarify
AP

I dont use and ignore A1 as it has given the wrong information the times I have used it. It is not 100% sometimes I use Wikipedia for tennis tournaments if I am searching a particular information regarding a tennis tournament or player

Hey what's up with this guy.. Did he quit the match because he got caught up in his feelings with his pretty girlfriend in the stands.

Arthur Fils was training hard on hard courts this Sunday in Monte Carlo after his withdrawal from the ATP500 tournament in Halle. Interesting?
To me if Fils was going to play Wimbledon he would be practicing on grass? though in saying that he might be practicing to see how his hip bears up before going to practice on grass

Sinner and Rune were practicing on hard court in MC and Jannik will leave for Wimbledon shortly

Some updated news on Carlos Alcaraz,

Alcaraz will undergo a check up with Dr Cotorro in Barcelona next week, which could pave the way for his return to the court.
If the evaluation goes well, he'll completa a few days of rehab before beginning to hit balls again using his right wrist

It took me going to Berlin on holiday for Zed to finally bag a slam. Remind me never to do that again. In a way, I'm glad he got that monkey off his back. Will he win another one? Don't see it. He was dangerously close to gift wrapping this one to his opponent.

Keli,
It was the Most Painful final I had to sit through, I only watched it because I had a Italian Cobolli in it, at one stage I thought he would win lol!
If Zverev could not win in RG where he didnt have to face a Top Ten player he will never win one. Meh!
