Only watching the scores but hope Jack D Raper doesn't end up injured again. He's had a decent enough injury free spell for a while. Nothing against Ruud but I find him way too boring and vanilla and hope Jack D Raper wins this but if his left arm is giving trouble he won't win. He's like a better version of Shelton mixed with Nadal. Surprised at Nadal fans preferring Ruud 'cos Draper's game is really like Nadal's with his big lefty power.
I like Draper, and I root for him. I'm rooting for Ruud in this one because he really needs it. I said that before.

Great quick game from Ruud to consolidate the break leads which he needed
Ruud leads 4-2
I am having concerns with Draper and his physical play in the 3rd set, Ruud is a 'more natural clay court player' and can sustain his energy well in a match

Come on Ruud that was your 7th DF find your 1st serve

Jack your shot was wide, just came up on the big screen, umpire cant over rule with electronic line calling
Ruud holds and is just a game away from his biggest title win ( I hope I havent jinxed him)

3 times is a charm for Rudd
This is first Masters 1000 crown, just stronger in the latter stages of the 3rd set than Draper
Ruud d Draper 75 36 64!
Well done Rudd!
this win Ruud will move up to No 7 in the rankings

Jack Draper will remain at No 5
Ruud will move to No 7 with his first Masters 1000 win, a couple of weeks ago he was out of the Top Ten
Musetti with his SF at Madrid is No 9
de Minaur is No 8
Djokovic drops to No 6, though could drop further seeing he is not playing Rome
Medvedev is No 11

Yay. The Ghost made an appearance today. Sorry @Front242 not a D Raper fan. Happy for Casper. :cheerleader:
A lot of people are still pissed over his double bounce ordeal but he's great to watch imo. Kinda had a feeling before it started that they were wrong about D Raper being a heavy favourite.

He'd be better to watch if his fans didn't have to hold their breath during closing time. He gets extremely tight. It's something he'll need to get a handle on if he wants to win a big one.

Personally, I think too much is made of that. Shame it was on match point. I blame the chair and the tournament director more than anyone else. There are many more egregious misbehaviors in tennis from others, IMO. And yes, he's fun to watch, and turning into a very great player.

Jack Draper isnt a ' natural clay court player like Ruud is and that was evident in the latter stages of the 3rd set, Jack was struggling physically and Ruud sustained his energy for the right moments in the match

I know, but I don't think Rome can really hurt him. He'll hopefully just build there towards Roland Garros. Or, he could win it, who knows?
At least Rome is a pure natural clay court surface, this is where we will find out the true contenders for RG

Are they related? His baby seems a bit young....
I will find out, when I first read it in the middle of Ruud v Draper match, I though they maybe related or maybe a typo error, I know Nico Jarry has a young son named Juanito
