Watched the game last night. Most ready and mature rookie I have seen in a long time. The guy has everything. I will keep watching .
He was going through Jokic and Aaron Gordon as if they were just guards. I've seen Gordon give Lebron problems. Couldn't believe my eyes. I think he's realised now that he can get fouls for fun in this league. He could end up as a 20+ and 10 guy in his rookie year. First time I've seen a draft guy since Klay who could be supermax. I just hope they can hang in there until Jimmy comes back. Suddenly the season might end up interesting after all. First few games were depressing!

@the AntiPusher what are your thoughts about the Wolves and how Lamelo Ball fits now? :)
Well its early From what I seen Finch is coaching less than ever.. it looks like playground basketball but they are winning so far.. I see that they lost by 2 points to the Cavs.. Can they beat Spurs and a depleted OKC is the question. Hey dude dont dodge me without mentioned the dubs .. they are off to a horrible beginning but did wax the Nuggets at home

lol! Dodging! Dodging?? :face-with-tears-of-joy:I mentioned Yaxel a few posts ago. That boy looks like he could be a supermax player. They could easily have been 2 - 2 so far. They really shouldn't have lost to the Grizzlies. Well played Ty Jerome! But that should have been locked up. I'm actually getting a bit more optimistic. I think they have a kid that can hold things down when Steph is off the floor. He just needs a bit more time to really grow into it. I can't wait to see how the Warriors perform against the Wolves and the Lakers both games are coming up very soon. Yes the Wolves are playing loose ball right now, but I think it's part of the process to fully embed Lamelo. I think Finch really tightens things up in the playoffs. Right now I can't think of any team in the West outside of OKC and the Spurs that I would definitively put over the Wolves. I put them in the same tier as Houston. I'm not convinced by the Lakers yet. I think they're getable. I hope the Dubs play with more urgency and force next time. I want to see that Lakers defence tested, particularly Luka and Austin Reeves.

I saw the Fri night games. KD & Co took the Wemby squad to skool. Knicks were 0-3 over the weekend. Finally got off the snide tonight against Detroit. They say Antman has a right knee issue and will likely miss 2 months, ouch!

What about the HEAT.. I think we spoke about how I felt this was not going to work out for Bam and Giannis

yes that's been a bad start, but I'm not worried yet. The funny thing is that right now their defence is trash. That tells me they're simply not gelling yet. I have enough faith in Spo that he'll sort it out eventually. If they're not rising up fast post Christmas then I'll admit they were a bad fit :D

Steph breaking Luka's ankles to protect Yax is what I wanted to see this weekend! And now the kid repays him by holding down the fort against the Clippers with Draymond and Steph resting. After the first few games I thought this season pre-All Star weekend was going to be torture. Might actually end up being fun! :dance2:

Nah.. he's playing well. The only issue is that he shouldn't bring the ball up. That's when he makes us all go insane with rage. When he's in the flow both defensively and offensively he can be really good. I think the guys are finally starting to pressure him to take the shots that are open to him, it's almost like he's trying to protect his field goal percentage sometimes, it's annoying! I think he's smart enough to learn what he needs to do. He has the money now..

the man has a 110 million dollar contract and he cant perform the most basic step in basketball.. dribble the ball up the court. I could put @kskate2 @DarthFed and anyone on this board who has hand and eye coordination in a 8 week summer basketball camp and they could bring the ball up.. That dude Pods is TRASH

lol! It's funny... after his comments about taking over the franchise from Steph I really started to go off him. But now in the post match interviews the guy looks so subdued I actually feel really sorry for him. I don't know who told him it was a good idea to position himself like that. In any case now that Yaxel is there, even he has to understand that Steph's franchise successor ain't gonna be him. I have to disagree though, he's largely been really good so far this season. Yes there have been moments where he does the same old nonsense again, but it's become less and less. Let's us Dub fans give this kid a break. He's what? 22/23 years old? He's just a kid:face-with-tears-of-joy: The hatred is outsized man!
