I know & agree. I've had quite a few things I've hated recently. Some I've written poems about & some I've written & sung songs about & some I've just tried to forget about by listening to music & singing along with or learning something new.

Ask the old “Hate Songs, allegedly invented by Bob Dylan in the mid sixties but really his were “I’m not interested in you a more “ but they could be vicious, in a snarling. Melodic way. The poet Philip Larkin described Dylan as having “a cawing derisive voice.” It’s quite accurate for that time!
(That's only been slightly successful. I get facial numbness episodes due to stress sometimes. *I got checked out & that's what the Dr. said as well as giving me tablets to take when suffering from the facial numbness episodes or too stress & asking me to get my stress levels down. & I get migraines due to anxiety & depression sometimes. Gosh! I hate those facial numbness episodes & migraines.)

I’m surprised this thread doesn’t get more traffic. HATE is a very important human feeling from a health point of view, also from a practical point of view. If we don’t hate, how can we love? So much as I hate Djoker it only made me love Rafa even more. It’s the love that’s harmful but the hate is like a release valve. Shouting fuck You Fuckoffovic at the laptop loud enough that even former neighbours hear it is a mental health issue.

Wait, you know what I mean! It’s healthy, I mean. It’s a release valve. People tried to shame me for hating Federer, as if he was a secular saint above such base reactions, but if the bitch was made of chocolate, he’d lick himself to death. Maybe he already has. Has anyone seen him lately? Exactly! Fucking good riddance.
Former Neighbours? I'm not surprised they moved away.

Oh, that’s to be checked, lady! But yeah, stress is worse than most things for knocking us sideways…

The Dr. gave me a thorough check-up checking for a stroke first. I had no other symptoms & they came when I was under pressure & went later. The tests came up normal & he said that the discussion showed I had none of the brain damage shown in people who've had a stroke but the history of the symptoms & when they came & went would suggest stress caused the facial numbness. The thing about stress is it is necessary to a certain extent to motivate us but it needs to be balanced. (I did go on a stress management course.) Stress can cause many worrying symptoms.

I'll have to try that. Thank you very much.

Well Bob in his later years has sung these kinds of songs more tenderly, so there’s a depth in him that’s rare, but also he was able in the first place to make his overall intentions slightly vague and more open to interpretation..

Neighbours drilling & hammering until 2 o'clock in the morning
Or before 9 o'clock in the morning without any warning.

I hate that too, but it depends. Maybe they are doing it on purpose, because they hate someone else in the building. Then it is excusable.

Parents who just let their children scream without finding out what is wrong.

Hate that too. But it is a secret pleasure to hate that little screming slimy thing as well.

Drunken old men murdering a good song.

Hey, androginist, you should hate drunken young girls murdering a good song too. Because they usually torture it before they murder it.

People jumping the queue when in a shop or waiting for a bus or train.
Being accused of doing things you haven't done.
Going to a party where some people spoil everyone else's fun.

In all those cases you need to stand up and fight -- and good ol' HATE helps you with that.

When it looks bright so you go out without a coat & then you feel the rain.

There is a tennis version of that, when you have a court scheduled and it starts to rain just before it is time to play. I hate it so much that I made the owners of the club I play in build two courts with roofs.

I also hate how loud everything seems in recent years unless my ears are just getting more & more sensitive. People seem to scream & allow their children to scream more & louder than they used to do. It goes through my ears that much they actually hurt & I feel them vibrating & have to hold them & sometimes I end up in tears.

I also hate when people jump into conversations & interfere with things before finding out what's really going on.
So now you hate my hobbies…

I live in a semi-detached house so only have 1 lot of neighbours.

Hate that too. But it is a secret pleasure to hate that little screming slimy thing as well.

I love children & when I work with them they're often quiet or asking the right questions or indeed answering the right questions correctly.

I hate anyone who murders a good song. In my experience it's drunken old men who murder good songs.

You can't always fight that. Sometimes we have to obey certain people. Lol.

I haven't played tennis for ages. I've no partner. That's why when I got told I needed to be more active & lose weight I joined the gym & took up pilates & Zumba which I enjoy. (It's a shame I've no partner. I loved playing tennis & squash.)

Which are?

We all have different hobbies. (I only hate screaming because I've got extra sensitive noise & if things get too loud I can feel my ears vibrate that much it hurts. I like music & love singing.)

I'll have to listen to them. The only songs I write & sing along to when I'm in that type of mood are blues, soul or reggae.

Anyone who saw maradona copulate with England in 1886 knows how to butter bread. He didn’t need viagra. He didn’t ask for their consent. He danced around them like they were cones. Nobody could do that, even with the medical aids that got Pele addicted during his dotage. John Giles was better than Pele…
He did need a time travel machine though.
