That really only happened when he was playing against Roger or Rafa, or Andy at Wimbledon. But part of the issue is that Novak is a complicated beast. He's a good sport, but perhaps lacks the charisma of the other two. In addition, it's always been so obvious that he wants the love. He was a bit needy about it sometimes. Now it's different, he does get the love. It's part of his story. Quite frankly it bolsters his legend so I'm not really disposed to feel that sorry for him about it. He managed. And he had a pretty big fan base as well, let's not forget. He just happened to play alongside two stars who transcended the sportThe message that I fail to get across every time is that a stadium full of boo boo isn't 'bad' but anything Novak does is? He has said numerous times the only people rooting for him was his family. That's literally the hell they give him on centre courts. Compared to that, Novak has been more than graceful in his speeches or on court behavior. Shame.
