With Andreeva winning the French Open and Noskova winning Wimbledon, this is the first time that consecutive slams were won by players under 22 since Serena Williams and Justine Henin won 8 in a row between them from the 2002 French Open through the 2004 Australian Open.
Regardless,
Top seeded players in both RG and Wimbleon who were favored, went missing and both Andreeva and Noskova picked up the pieces
Consistency is the key in tournaments for starters.
We saw that Andreeva couldnt handle the expectations of Wimbledon after her RG win
Lets see how Noskova goes in the last GS this year, she plays first strike tennis her game suits the faster surfaces

This might be controversial but I'm going to say it anyway... When I watch these women play, it’s very clear to me they aren’t on the same level as the men. Sure, the men also get tight, but there’s a baseline level of performance they display. This ain’t it
Let's be honest and Frank Fed. There are mental midgets on both sides. Saba who spent a large part of her #1 ascendency being one of the stingiest players ever, even has walk-a-bouts and lapse of focus. These youngsters think all they have to do is smack the serve and the FH harder than their opponent and they'll be golden. You can't teach the mental strengths of the game. But Karo needs to hire a sports shrink so she'll have someone to talk through her nerves. Many players have done it w/ great success. No shame in admitting you need help. She was the fave today and couldn't play her best w/ that label on her. She wasn't the fave in 2023 against Iga, had a break and a lead in the decider when Iga was rattled, but not being the fave that time she let the nerves get her again and lost that match. She's just a bundle of nerves. It got to her against Coco in the SF, but Coco who's usually clutch in deciders made some poor shot selections and helped Karo get over the hump.

The Ladies Doubles Final,
Sunday 12th July,
A first time Doubles Champion ( just like the Ladies Singles champion) will be crowned in the final,

Dabrowski/Stefani (2) who have not lost a set en route to the final vs Guo/ Mladenovic (10) who upset the No 1 seeds of Siniakova/Townsend in the QFs.
This will be the their first meeting.

Congratulations to the first time Ladies Doubles Champions at Wimbledon, Guo/Mladenoic (10) defeating Dabroski/Stefani (2) in straight sets 63 75
I hadnt watch Guo before she was great at the net and this combination complimented each other well, they also defeated the No 1 seeds Siniakova/Townsend in the QF match. Well done to both teams
