You are correct AP
A player should keep their head still on contact with the ball playing fhand or bhand
Watch the Williams sisters they always kept their heads 'still'
Stefanos has the same problem on his single handed backhand , he moves his head everytime..I dont why all those pros around him doesnt fix it with him.. MM maybe they need to put one of those pet halos around his head during practice.

This match is headed to a TB for the 2nd set, unless Saba can break Osaka

A Pet Halo? gosh I would like to see that happen AP, my cat had to wear one and she was crankly and I had to take it off her head lol!
Still I get your point, with head being still, I also think this should be resolved in their junior playing days, once they get older, that bad habit of moving your head is hard to break

TB for the 2nd set between Osaka and Saba
I also feel Osaka's serve is more powerful in the day than the night, she gets a mini break

Congratulations to Osaka. Well done. Looks like she is working hard to get back to top 10 and it is finally paying off. This is a huge opportunity for her to go deep here.

I am sorry MM.. Naomi has changed and architected her game to rival Saba.. It aint easy being the HUNTED as SABA is every week
Saba and Wimbledon for some reason dont go hand in hand, she has the game for grass, yet to accomplish it by winning Wimbledon

I really need to take my Nonna Nap now :)

BTW before I go,
There goes Saba's record of havent lost in SS at a Major since the USO 2020?

she has the game for clay too but hasn't won RG yet. I'm beginning to think it's mental w/ her unless it's a hc slam.
Agree Keli, just saw your post before I have my nap., Saba's game suits all surfaces quite frankly, it is a mental thing, oh well something she needs to sort out.

Today she was beaten by a player who out played her but normally its her who cant get out of her own way.. I think she waste way too much energy over one point.. She is too old to stay in her feelings about one or two points or games in a tennis match.

Yes, enjoy your nap. Just came in and saw the end of Saba's match. Babs is out. We'll have a new Wimby champ. The winner comes out of the top half. My $$ is on Chrissie's daughter or Jess.

What is wrong with Sabalenka this year? She hasn't made it past the QF of the last four big events (Wimbledon, RG, Rome, Madrid). This after sweeping the Sunshine Double.
