I am just SB as I am watching a Womens match

Good to see Kokkinakas playing well leading Bublik 2 sets to 1
Thanasi has been to hell and back over the years with injuries etc, really has stalled his career, last year he had shoulder surgery and said if the surgery dosent fix his shoulder he will be looking at retirement, same age as Nick K, 30 yo, they won the AO doubles title in 2022
Kokkinakas goes down in 5 eventually. I thought that one might be tasty. Always dangerous for a match or two but made of glass unfortunately.

Hi Baron
I was tied up with a womens match and should have come back to finish the score
Bublik is a tricky player at the best of times. Thanasi taking him to 5 sets, shouldnt be too upset, sad to say his body these days is made of glass

Ben is gone after holding MP. Like I said, completely unnecessary to be in a 5th. And here James Blake was just touting him earlier today that he could hold this trophy. Haha. Not this year baby.

What, do we think we're back in the Golden Age of tennis when American men were on top or Ben's ready to have an "1985 Becker" moment? :)

I didnt have time to post this before ( as I went to the gym) some of the words from Stan Wawrinka on court after his last match,

Sad and emotional day for Stan Wawrinka who received a wild card into Wimbledon, playing his last match due to his retirement this year
Stan said, fighting back tears,

"I dont want to retire, but I know its times to stop" adding, " I couldnt have dream of a better goodbye" as he choked on his own words.

And what Stan says sums it up. We don't know what these athletes have to deal with but at some point each will have to make that hard decision.
Stan is definitely a HOFer.. Probably had the most difficult path to the hall of fame ever.. I liken it to being a honey badger trying to survive in an African wilderness against the Lions, Cheetahs, Crocodile and etc.. The hunt for food while being at near the bottom of the food chain was paramount.

Nice to see Fonzie through with another relatively easy victory. He's got Safiullin next, who is playing well, but I still like Fonzie's chances.
He made it easy. Very solid performance. The opponent played pretty well (apart from two ugly missed voleys in set two), and still could not get even close to winning a set.

Safiullin played 3 straight 5 setters (last match in qualies went to 5 as well).

BTW
Seeing Nick K who received a wild card for the doubles and he lost today has said that Wimbledon will be his last this year, it will always be his fav slam and the one he has gotten the best results on
Quite frankly Nick time to hang up your racket, at age 30, injuries and time off court, is enough okay
Knowing Nick he will probably play the AO in 2027 and retire.

Stefanos really is too fragile to be a champion.. How you cant put away two gimme overheads is unacceptable. His entire team should walk out..
