All things considered, I think Serena had a solid showing having chosen Wimbledon of all places to try singles first. That score is pretty decent considering 4 years away. I do think had she chosen to get some singles play beforehand this match could have possibly turned out differently.

I am satisfied and she exceeded my expectations. Maya Joint will become a folk hero for some.. for the next 48 hours until Eala beats her like a drum.. I doubt if she win a game from Eala.. I am not being harsh but a realist.. this was Serena best matchup .. She knows NOW its an incredible up hill battle if she wants more. Nuff Said.

Well saw the match and saw an impressive youngster playing - most of the time - a controlled game with few errors. And I saw a Serena playing really well. Both players congrats for an exciting mach - and a deserved winner - me thinks
