On a serious note, this match reminds me of Zverev Thiem in USO. It's not pretty. Remember the quality of tennis in Fonseca Ruud match for example. But Cobolli just doing his thing, the opportunity is here and he might take it as it is now. For sure he looks like he has more courage and his serve and volley game looks good enough. We shall see.
I mean, why couldn't Ruud perform like that in the 2022 or 2023 RG final? He probably has a slam right now if his level displayed in the Fonseca match was there on either of those finals.

He had ATGs across the net, that's the problem.

Zverev is in such a bind. Every time he tries to "be brave"--as Mac has cited Rafa recommending--he hits it wide or long. He could probably win this if he just played at his normal, good level and not need to do anything fancy, but clearly the nerves are getting to him.

This match is going to come down to who can control their nerves. Not a good prognosis for Sascha.

This (potentially) last service game for Cobolli in the 4th set is going to tell us a lot about his mentality.

Zverev is the GCOAT...Greatest Choke Of All Time.
Jannik Sinner, too. He's 1-10 in his last 11 five-setters. He's just way too good to have that type of record in 5-set matches. If Sinner was even an average finisher, he should have at least 8, if not 10, slams by now. Jannik having only 4 slams feels like a bit of an underachievement, considering his accomplishments.
