The refs lead. By tank head tony and the brothers really swallowed their whistles a lot last night in OKC. I will bet anyone on this board the fixer Scott Foster will be heading the crew in San Antonio on Thursday night..not a Charles Barkley guarantee but it’s 99.9 percent
you think the league wants a game 7?

Basketball has to find a way to get the officiating out of human's hands. They have to figure out their version of the hawk eye. I think the technology is there.

this is surely a sign that SGA knows this is bad for his brand. Whether that makes him change his behaviour will be interesting to see. But as things stand he will not be looked at in the same way others who have regular season and finals MVPs. Rightly so! It's sad because the guy can actually ball. It's unnecessary

Refs are humans with flaws. They will always lean towards the home team. When in doubt, home team, 50-50 call, home team. When twenty thousand people are screaming "flopper", you do not want to be the ref to blow the whistle in favor of SGA, no matter how legit it is. Same refs will call those in Oklahoma.
Refs should be taken out of the game, let technology take care of games.

No I disagree, officials in basketball is part of the game because it moves so fast and using technology would making games become 3 1/2 to 4 hours game..think about it flopping would be at a premium. Officials are there to move the game along expeditiously. If you play playground basketball, you know what I mean.

Linesman were part of tennis too. Now they are watching it from home like you and I. I am aware it is not the same but the point is technology.
I played basketball for my high school team. I still play when my body feels OK but the point is, refs are always homers. How do you change that ? The human factor kills it for me. The right technology is out there where the game will not slow down. Until then, advantage home team.

My point is the flow of the game. Refs are needed in basketball and football because so much is going on almost simultaneously if that makes sense. There is no right technology. I know you probably played playground basketball or football. e.g. at the playground basketball court, there's always some Zach Randolph aka Zimbo type of player that gets in the low post and you cannot stop them. We would hack the living shit out of them but they still stay in the same spot and scored their points. Can you imagine if Zimbo or Shaq called foul everytime someone hit their big bodies hard, the game would last so much longer. Think about it.
