The way he won this game on his serve tells me still has gas left to finish Meddy.
Well he is getting on Meddy serve better in the 3rd set, had a few more BPs on Meddys service game but could not convert

Play will resume not before 10.15pm for this current delay apparently
Cant wait till they get a roof over Centrale Court, apparently they will start to build a roof after the tournament in Rome finishes? rain in Rome in May is quite usual

New forecast 10.45pm? it is still pouring, I wont be surprised if this match will go on tonight, probably finish it tomorrow. SFs players who have made the final ( Ruud), have a day off on Saturday as the mens final is on Sunday
Sinner leading Medvedev 4-2 in the 3rd set before the match was suspended

Big win for Vavassori/Bolelli first Italian team to make Rome final since 1963.
Especially for Bolelli, who suddenly lost his father at the start of the clay court season
Vavassori /Bolelli Forza!

Meddy pushing Sinner way more than Zverev. Daniil still can't decide does he love clay or not. He is actually good on clay when he decides to play and not just complain about it.

Sinner holds on, winning the 3rd set 6-4. He will play Casper Ruud in the final tomorrow, with a chance to complete the set of Masters. Sinner still has a chance to complete the clay sweep, which has only been done by Rafa (in 2005 and 2010).

Don Fabio,
If you are around He Did It, like you said to me yesterday after he broke Meddy early
In the end Sinner too strong, though Meddy is good on clay, even though he says at times he isnt gee he won Rome in 2023 defeating Holger Rune in straight sets if my memory is intact

Meddy won Roma in 2023 defeating Rune in straight sets, actually he has a great game on the clay!

Jannik after the match,

"When you're in the 3rd set, nearly done, but you still have to show up again, you never know what's happening you know. Its basically a new start of a match. But again I'm very happy how I handled the situation, very happy to be back in the final.
"Tomorrow is gonna be a very tough day"
" But I'm very happy this match is finally over. It was a very long one, very happy".

BTW Medvedev is 8th in the live rankings, he is not playing any smaller clay court tournaments next week, as long as he stays in the Top 9, he'll get a Top 8 seeding as Alcaraz isnt playing

They can't even wait for Novak to retire before trying to replace him w/ Sinner! It's hard to say we're in a "weak era" b/c ATP players are top notch, but w/o Alcaraz, it looks as if Jannik will feast on the tour until Carlos gets back! :astonished-face::angry-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Go away if Sinner wins in Rome he will be the Youngest In the History to complete Golden Career Masters at age 24
Novak completed that at age 31.
Sour Grapes!
What Sinner has done since IW is just incredible give him credit, Carlos was beaten in both IW and Miami that was on him, Jannik won both Masters tournaments in IW and Miami without Dropping a Set?
Just to remind you Sinner defeated Carlos in straight sets at Monte Carlo? feasting on the tour My foot! While it is sad that Alcaraz is out with a wrist injury, what is Sinner suppose to do? roll over and wait? these are professional athletes and if Sinner was out injured, Alcaraz would just do what he does best and try to compete at the best of his ability and win tournaments?
I could keep posting stats on Jannik if you like? LOL!
I strongly suggest you go to the ATP Website and read his numbers on serve and return :) for starters LOL!

If Ruud somehow manages win, it will be quite an upset. Not only does Sinner lead the H2H 4-0, Ruud hasn't taken a set off of him. In fact, he's only won more than 3 games in a set twice out of 8 times. Their last five sets have been 6-2 or worse (for Ruud).
