Not exactly recent news but watched this yesterday and, wow, look at the speed difference at the US Open in 2005. If people need any more proof of how slow things have become, watch this. There's no way anyone was returning these serves.

As far as I am aware Shelton's dad Brian is still coaching his son. Ben is on court at present against Aussie Jordan Thompson
Thompson who looks soo much better that he has grown a beard with that porn looking mustache, plays a near perfect TB against Ben, winning 76(2) 1st set
Thompson is no slouch and can be feisty if the need arises. Its now on to the third set.I hope Thompson brings out that little devil in him because he needs it in this match.

Thompson of late has been playing good tennis, going 3 sets now in the QF match

Who is Ryan Harrison coaching in Dallas?if he is coaching Shelton then it's a marriage made in heaven, they would be competing on who is the biggest jerk.

I've overlooked the talk of Ryan's bad attitude for yrs.! I was captivated for other reasons than his tennis; him & his bro, Christian! :face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face:

Blake Griffin is a one trick pony and let's hope Thompson send him packing.

This just popped up for me on YouTube. 2 x 149 mph serves in 1 game is insane.

Watched Dino Prizmic today against David Goffin. He is a young and promising Croatian guy. He received a WC for Rotterdam this week, but Goffin is experienced veteran and not easy to win against such guys. Prizmic is still struggling with a niggling left quad/leg? injury which kept him sidelined from the AO match against Novak and it gave him trouble again today in the 3rd set.

He is a bit like Roddick when he was young.A lot of noise and not much to show for it...at least Roddick was winning the 1000s at that age This one is beyond annoying.

True enuf! I wonder will Shelton pull a Kyrgios & totally flip on being a fan-boy for Djokovic? Even A-Rod did an "about face" concerning the GOAT! ;-)

It appears that Shelton has a abdominal problem in his SF match against Paul losing in straight sets, Tommy went onto win the tournament in 3 sets against Giron in Dallas

Watching Shapo is hard, a guy is hitting so many UEs. Does he see himself how he plays and why he keeps losing matches? Awful tennis against Monfils.

We were just discussing him the other day. I think the ship has sailed on him ever getting his game in hand. No discipline.

I did notice it's "throwback" day or Old Man's Day in Rotterdam. Monfils beat Shapo, Dimitrov beat Sonego, and Raonic beat Bublik, who just won the title in Montpellier...(SMH.)

Which is a pity and a waste of a good talent.

Raonic looks funny in those short socks. He looks a bit rusty, but got it done in 2. Dimitrov is playing solid tennis, it's just a mental thing with him, but I like to watch him, beautiful movement and shots, he is still trying hard to play good and I respect that.

The new blood champion is trying to show his stuff in Rotterdam! #1 Seed Sinner is taking on Van de Zandschulp in his opening match as Aussie Open Chp! Looks & sounds so strange since the Big 3 owned the Tourney "down under" for almost 20 yrs! Wawrinka of course stole '14 event! ;)

Shapo has a new coach as well, Matt Daly, lets see how long he lasts :)

This should be his tourney to win as the #1 seed. I don't see anyone in the draw that could really push him.
