Are you going to be watching live?
Nassau County is where it's located, if that's what you mean. EDIT: I think we discussed this when it debuted, but it's not a big thriller, so not surprising you hadn't noticed or remembered.Didn't even know this tournament existed. I just read it replaced Memphis and is held at the famous Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. I'm sure there is a good story behind the stadium name somewhere.
It's not that close to me, and hey, it's winter! Are you going to be watching live?
A simple yes/no answer would suffice but I take it your answer is no. Lol. I just thought you might have gone & enjoyed yourself seeing it live. That's all. It's winter here too. It's not that close to me, and hey, it's winter!

I'm not. If you're there watching in person you are seeing it live. You are mixing up watching in person with watching live. Those are two different concepts.

It is. Well, it is where I come from anyway unless it's just because the only live events I've ever seen are Pontefract races (which I guess you could say I saw in person as a very young girl because there was nothing stopping me from talking to the jockeys or stroking the horses) & Edinburgh tattoo & festival. Where we come from to see something in person you've actually got to be able to go out there & see the person, talk to them, ask for autographs or photographs taken, to see something live you still see it while it's happening but you're closed in, in your own reserved seating. If you can tell me how things are where you come from I might come round to your way of thinking. But, the converse is not true.
That's a bit being picky about semantics, though, isn't it? It's common enough for folks around here to say 'I saw that match live,' and everyone would know they meant, 'in person,' unless otherwise specified, i.e., to mean they watched on TV in the time it was being played. Anyway, I have seen Tiafoe and Isner play 'in person,' and no one else would draw me to it, unless Rafa decided to play one of these days. You are mixing up watching in person with watching live. Where we come from to watch something on T.V. isn't to watch it live unless we state live on T.V. To watch something live where I come from you've got to be there but in enclosed seating & to watch something in person you've got to be there but the seating isn't enclosed so you could go up to the stage/arena/race-course or whatever & actually touch the actor/actress/singer/horse or whatever & ask the actor/actress/singer for an autograph or stroke the horse well could if it wasn't for security but you get the message. That's a bit being picky about semantics, though, isn't it? Funny, just a week after the WC from Argentina won Córdoba, also the tourney of his life. He hadn't won an ATP match before his first one there. Journeymen making some noise.A little known Canadian, Schnur, has the tourney of his life in New York.
Until this event, he has never won a match on the ATP main tour, here he just made the SF.
He is ranked outside of the top 100, more precisely, 154.
