And his draw at USO wasn't a joke...the whole tournament was ravished by top players being injured. You're just mad because it was a "gimme" last year, and Roger wasn't the one to take advantage.

Wafa's draw difficulty should be determined from his first week opponents when he's most vulnerable for an upset. He drew complete nobodies and then in the second week instead of playing a full flight Fed, he got an exhausted Delmugtro who ran out of gas after the first set. Plus the court was much slower than USO as ever been so that obviously helped Wafa to easily translate his moonballing on the blue clay courts.

Rafa is vulnerable to upset early at Wimbledon, but much less at the USO. He drew easy marks, but so did Roger, but they troubled him. Fed fans tell me that Roger's back was bad. OK. But JMDP beat Roger and Rafa beat JMDP. I'm sorry, but I don't think "gassed" is an excuse at a Major. Either you have 7 matches in you, or you don't. And I'm not sure how you're judging that the USO courts are slower than they've ever been. Everyone pretends to be an expert about the pace of the courts. I'm not convinced you are. Here's the deal: Rafa made the date and Roger didn't. By then, the draw had cleared out. Don't blame Rafa for taking advantage of a perfect opportunity.
