About Eastbourne:

Eastbourne is a large town, seaside resort, and borough in the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex on the south coast of England, 19 miles (31 km) east of Brighton. Eastbourne is immediately to the east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain.

With a seafront consisting largely of Victorian hotels, a pier, and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum, Eastbourne was developed by the Duke of Devonshire from 1859 from four separate hamlets. It has a growing population, a broad economic base, and is home to companies in a wide range of industries.

If she doesn't score enough points between now and the end of USO, her ranking will tumble when she doesn't make it back to the WTF.

I'm also sorry to see her posting such poor results. She's small, but has always been scrappy. I hope she can find her way back to better form.

Play suspended for Tuesday. And that gives a heavy schedule Wednesday:

Today was a near-total washout, but here's tomorrow's schedule, anyway:

Lots of ladies did double duty today, round of 16 and quarter together.

Among the survivors are Karo and Caro.
Konta/Kerber plus Watson/Strycova still going...

I think Caro has the easiest path in semis.

That's the second time that Halep fails to get the elusive #1 rankings.

One more win for Pliskova and she'll take the lead in the race.

Watching the Kerber v Konta match,I will be very surprised if Kerber defends her finalists points this year at Wimbledon, she was very sluggish in her movement,Konta had a very bad fall, trainer had to come out,Konta won the match in straight sets her first win over Kerber.
