the US women might retake over WTA. If Kenin could sneak in and steal a slam , I can easily see Jovic, Anisomova(my mixed doubles favorite player which I am not allowed to say anything negative about her game..jeez..I have less issues with my wife than I do with my mix doubles partners). Coco, Keys and Jess P are gonna be a factor for the next 3 years..Hailey Baptiste if she recovers is on the come up.

Well done to LL Dona Vekic who has turned this into her best week in a long time she was Flawless defeating Boulter 61 63 and is the first player through to the final

BTW, if Vekic wins the title at Queens she will be seeded for Wimbledon

MTO for Jovic, her left foot being retaped, at present she is hitting too many 1st serves into the net, she has to adjust her ball toss asap

Raducanu wins the 1st set v Jovic 62
Emma playing well, though it is hard to know how much Jovic's ankle is hampering her.
Jovic broken as she DF in her first service game in the 2nd set, far from her best which is disappointing of course just as I type that she breaks back lol!
Oh well that didnt last long, Emma breaks and leads 3-1 2nd set
Jovic 1st serve has gone AWOL and her 2nd serve isnt any better, Emma is returning with ease
Jovic's overall game suits the grass, she likes to take the ball on early and is a flat hitter of the ball, improvements must be made in her serve, her ball toss for starters needs adjustment, she is young and has time to improve these things in her game

Raducanu d Jovic (6) 62 62, well played Emma, Jovic get that ankle fixed for the rest of the grass season

okay..No way I was saying that Kenin is going to be a factor again..I was just comparing her to the current girls at the top in the US, they are playing at a higher level than she were playing at that point in her career. I agree with the rest of your post.

Emma has got her coach Richardson back who coached her to win the USO, let see how she fares, mind you Emma has had 10 coaches now since she tourned pro, minute she does badly she fires them lol!

Sunday 14th June,
Ladies Singles Final,

Raducanu vs LL Vekic This is their first meeting............If Raducanu or Vekic wins the title either player will be seeded for Wimbledon, though Emma making the final did secure a seeding at Wimbledon, winning the title will secure it'
Emma is entered in a WTA250 Nottingham, I will be surprised if she goes


Ladies Doubles Final,

Ferandez/Siegemund vs Mihalikova/Nicholls

The Ladies final has just started
Donna won the toss and will serve first
Donna has came out blazing and now has a double break in the 1st set leads 4-0
Emma has to start serving better for starters.
Donna 5-0, lets see if Emma can get on the board in the 1st set?
Donna wins the 1st set 60 in just 29 mins, she is playing at such as high level and hasnt allowed Emma to breathe
Can Donna keep this level up, it up in the 2nd set and can Emma re-set and make this final not soo one sided
BTW Donna came in as a LL and has been playing well all tournament, looks like Emma has Hit A Wall, lets see how she fares in the 2nd set

Donna 1st serve has let her down in the 2nd set, also missing shots, which she didnt do in the 1st set, and Emma has taken advantage and has a break and leads 4-2
Emma was serving for the 1st set 5-2 and Donna breaks and will serve at 3-5 can she hold?
Emma will now serve for the 2nd set at 5-4
The many twists of the 2nd set now Emma will serve to stay in the 2nd set at 5-6
Emma holds serve 6 all 2nd set TB
What a win for Donna Vekic turned her game around in the 2nd set, Emma served for the 2nd set twice and Donna fought back to take it to a TB in in the 2nd set, Donna was playing Vintage Grass Court tennis especially in that 1st set she was flawless, came in as a LL and played well all week and deserves to be the Queens Ladies Singles title champion of 2026!
Vekic d Raducanu 60 76(6) was down 2-5 in that 2nd set.
1st grass court title since 2017 and Donna back to #32 in the rankings

BTW Raducanu ranking is #31 and Vekic is #32 lets hope both get seeded for Wimbledon
As I posted Raducanu was on the entry list for WTA250 Nottingham as a wild card, I will be surprised if she plays the event.

BTW Donna said in her speech she will be on her way to the airport so it looks like she will be playing in Berlin
