Wawrinka might get 'upset' by Robredo. He trails 6-1 in their h2h. Let's see if Stan has improved enough to overcome that matchup.

Good to know. I like stan, and wish him well, but can't say that I wouldn't mind him not making to Novak.

Let's hope Stan wins, but in a grueling 5-setter. 20-18 in the fifth or something. ;)

Stan's h2h vs Robredo just doesn't make sense. Stan is just a beast against everyone else, is it a mental hang up that he has against the Spaniards.. Tommy R has been playing well this past year but he is not regarded as one of the top 5 dangerous current Spainards..By the way.. where is my guy Nicky A .. did he withdraw

The biggest surprise is that Robredo beat the new-and-improved Wawrinka 2 times last year, including on HCs. Of course, Tommy had a good 2013 himself, back from injury. I guess I'm supposed to root for Stan to get through and trouble Djokovic, but I'd having a hard time pulling against Robredo.

It makes a little more sense if you take a closer look:

Robredo won their first three encounters, for example, but Wawrinka was only 18-20. As for the two 2013 matches, I don't know ...

I agree about the early wins, so it doesn't need to be that lop-sided, but the 2013 ones are a surprise. One is on clay, but Wawrinka is very fine on clay, and the other on HC.

@A-P: Forgot to reply. If you're talking about Almagro, he did withdraw with injury. Shoulder, I think, but that's going on memory.

I know this is completely off the topic, but I noticed the ATP Top Twenty finds 31 year old Tommy Robredo back in its ranks! :clap

F3 comes out against Djokovic, channeling Wawrinka, with sunscreen smeared all over his face.

Then I am hoping Nole sends him quickly to the beach now that Fabio is already prepared for it:cool:

I'm not expecting an upset from Fabio, but I'm hoping for at least one operatic outburst.

LOL I do love Fabio, he is a great character. He is just playing today my boy and because he is the only one left for me, I need Nole to show no mercy.
Today is a serbian day after all on Laver
