So for the 2015 Aussie Open we have a good number of players talking about how fast the courts are.
Sam Querry even claims it is the "fastest" hard court he has played on.
The tournament denies any change to court speed but does admit a new ball, tighter wound ball was chosen to speed up play.
At first I thought I was imaging things, but the pace of shot, match to match is clearly quicker, and just about the quickest I have seen. Even players like Seppi and Schmee (what a warrior) were able to consistently hit winners from the baseline.
I actually wonder what the winner stats are for this tournament and if they are any different than last year, or even to the US Open.
