My earliest recollection of ever seeing Federer play, was either this game or an earlier Davis Cup game also Versus Hewitt, same year. Gonna be a sad day when the King announces the "R" word.

UPDATE I have been doing some research and can now say after reviewing the players head to head record, it was a Davis Cup match in the year 2000, not 2002, was definitely first time i ever saw Roger play. He was a teenager then, as was Hewitt.
Sadly no video exists of this match over on youtube.

Final score 2000 Davis Cup first round - Hewitt defeats Federer 6-2, 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 on indoor carpet played in Switzerland.
