This what makes a champion player even greater after a loss
Gauff.
" I gave myself a lot of opportunities and just didnt capitalize off of them.Played way too passive in certain moment.Yeah, just a learning experience for next time"

It's all mental w/ her. Elina was better in the crunch and deserved the win. Coco coughed up 70 UE's. She's not beating any top player w/ those numbers, period. I'm sorry, but her serve has regressed under Gavin. She has zero confidence so she's just rolling it in. The FH is a little steadier but it's still in her head so she's hits alot of spin in the rally, but she said it herself, she's wasn't aggressive when needed because she's afraid and let's the opponent dictate.

Keli,
To be fair, both players had high UFE, as they were trying to be and stay aggressive, so their UFE were going to be high. Of course on clay the trick is to have a low number of UFE this wasnt going to happen with the way they were playing.
It was like a Cat and Mouse encounter, which I did post in my pre post before the final, and indeed it turned out be just like that.
It is the ball toss of Coco which is her undoing at present, and a lack of swing acceleration, leading to erratic faults, particularly in the net
Agree her fhand has got steadier
