Stan won over Kei, but he wasn't that impressive! Nole is on top of his game and seems to be physically fine! I say Djokovic in 4! :dodgy: :p

Stam brought out the worst in Djokovic last year, it was painful to watch. I'm hoping Novak gets it done in 3 and not lose the plot this time halfway through.

Finally Novak gets some competition, okay Novak fans dont jump on me for saying that,I understand the circumstances etc:).

I hate to say this I was impressed with the way Wawrinka defeated Kei,as I am not a fan of Wawrinka in any way shape or form, though I will give him credit when it is due.

Novak has been unstoppable so far,he made Milos look like a club player,to me in his previous match.

I am certain this match means so much to both players,,of course Stan wants a chance to defend his Australian Open title.

Novak in 5 sets.

Without that serve Raonic is a club player. His net play was atrocious (even by early Nole standards). His ground strokes are adequate, but often errant. And his return of serve leaves a lot to be desired.

As a fan, I was really happy to see that Novak only got frustrated a few times during the match, and most of that with himself.

Stan brutalized Nishikori and he will probably succeed in imposing his will on this match as well. If Novak can weather Stan's attacks and create his own spots early, I think he'll prevail - possibly in three sets.

^ Yes I should have added without his serve Milos is indeed a club player,my husband also watched the match last night and could not believe Milos is ranked that high,he also stated, the same, without his serve he is a club type player.

Can't wait for this one. Will Djokovic get revenge for last year? Or will Wawrinka continue to torment him on the big stage? Hard to pick this one but got to go with Djokovic in four. Could be another good one though.

Could be a long brutal match with close sets.Stan crushed Kei to bits,i was quite shocked on this.Going for Nole,5 sets is my guess,if Stans backhand fires who knows.

I like the way Stan has stood up in this tourney but Novak will be ready this year: Nole in three messy smackdown ones or four close sets...

Messy as in shanked overheads, rackets reaching over the net and players yelling at opponents' wives? :snigger

Is it safe to say the winner of this match is the favorite in the final?

Novak in 5 sets.

No offense at all. Stan was in impressive form. Novak needs to be careful of going crosscourt on the backhand too much like Kei, because Stan was returning them with extreme prejudice.

I'm not sure id make Stan the favorite if he survives a brutal battle and the winner of Berd-Murray breezes through

Hopefully Berd stays menacing and doesn't mutate back to his lesser self.

If Berdych makes the final, Wawrinka/Djokovic clear favorite.
If Murray makes the final, Wawrinka/Djokovic would be a slight favorite.
