Serena leads the H2H 16-2

We all know the story w/ this match-up. They haven't played in awhile (since SF of Miami last year). Does Maria break

through this time and get her first win in over 10 years?

Who ya got: #1 seed or #2 seed?

Can anybody beat Maria 16 times in a row? :devil

I think answer is yes. Serena will do it.

Even though Berdych will provide inspiration to Maria, for that to materialize she needs to
wait for two more matches at least. :snigger

Even with an eye-patch, a cast on one leg, and a dislocated shoulder, Serena wins this in straights.

May be so, but not a disoriented Serena that we saw in Wimby doubles last year (as he
will need three sets :snigger).

LOL! We'll see what Sharapova tries next time. Surely she can't keep doing the same thing over and over. But has anyone ever had this much success with such a limited, one-pattern game?

Pova has the drop shot now. As Cornet proved, bringing Serena to net is a great strategy against her. Let's see if Pova can execute. I am now hoping Serena gets to 23 to overtake Graf.

Guess which one is Serena and which one is Maria. :snigger

It's metaphorical.

Oh I get that but who are the men in it, and what's happening?

Oh, not sure. I came across this picture one day and had to save it. I think it was a weigh-in for some type of fight but I wouldn't know.

Serena gets up to play Maria. I say Serena in two, competitive sets. however if she has these walk abouts maria may bash and scream her way into a third set.

Not only does she gets up for Maria, Serena lives to try to destroy Maria on the tennis court.

I don't see any instance where Maria wins this match (unless Serena is unable to take the court). Even if Maria plays her absolute best (no df's, moves like Spidey and makes near single digit UE's) do I see her defeating Serena. Serena can bring her B game and still beat Masha. :nono

I have to vote straight sets.

Where's the loud Masha fans? I used to get a good laugh reading about her "dominance" etc...

Serena's serve finally decided to really show up these last two matches, so I have to go with Serena because her return of serve has also been clicking for her this whole tournament. Serena isn't stupid enough to direct shots down the middle at Maria either unlike most of Maria's opponents this tournament. I am going to have to go with Serena unless Serena really shows up out of sorts.

Dunno who the small dude is but the big guy is Hong-man Choi, 7'2", 352 lb (160 kg; 25.1 st). Fights in K1 and other kickboxing/MMA events. He's a beast.
