Maria leads the series 7-1

These two have never played on clay. JJ's only win came at a grass final in 2007. Maria won the most recent match contested at the Semi's of Miami this year.

Well Maria will want to be solid as Jelena Jankovic is a player that can exploit any weaknesses at any point.

Jankovic beating Maria, um, not happening! I'm sorry, I see Maria feasting on Jelena.

While I don't think it will be a blowout like the Miami match in March, I don't see Maria losing this. Maybe something like 6-3 6-4.

I am not saying Jelena will beat her but if Maria is not on point this could be an ugly match. These two have never met on clay either.

Voted for Maria in 2. Maria will try to blast her off the court and keep her unbalanced. That strategy works most of the time against everyone except.........

This QF is JJ's best result in slams in 3 years, however I hope it is not the end of the road for her and that she can somehow win against Sharapova.

JJ was surprised when journos told her that Sharapova remembers that they actually played on clay when they were around 12.

Maria didnt play well in the third and fourth rd and this is Janky s best surface...a three setter in favor of JJ.

I don't know Tossip, JJ isn't Smart enough or better yet, she will not keep her head to beat Pova.. She has the goods to do it but Do you really think that she wants it or again better yet that JJ has enough Heart.. I would bet on it.

I hope that I am wrong and I hope JJ cleans Pova's clock.

I picked JJ in 3 sets!
Sounds pretty far fetched?
She may do it in straights!

Just kidding, Maria should win this.

JJ is definitely the better clay courter. But then there is that 7-1 record...

I knew Jankovic would be a tough customer. She has been come and go this clay season, but she has had some nice moments like taking a set from Serena in Charleston.

(JJ)She needs a task master for a coach.. someone who will just walk out of the stadiums instead letting her continue with that nervous dialogue she does when her world isn't working Right.
