The Warriors should have kept Jordan Poole and got rid of Draymond after the incident. If they kept Poole, then maybe Jonathan Kuminga doesn't go off the rails. I believe that Poole was Kuminga's best buddy, and he was clearly not happy after Poole was traded.

If the Warriors had Poole and Kuminga, with now Yaxel coming in, Steph would have a nice young supporting cast behind him.

Hey it’s good to be optimistic. I could say too optimistic but then I am a major pessimist by nature, especially when it comes to sports. Living in this great state of Wisconsin makes it unavoidable :)
oh I'm not being optimistic per se. I'm just suggesting, hypothetically, that if the best were to happen at Golden State then it's better for Steph, FAR BETTER!, for LeBron not to be there. I'm not even sure it's good for either LeBron or Steph if they won together.

Wiggins was Poole's best buddy. I don't think Kuminga went off the rails, he's just not that good a player. The relationships went off the rails, and that's more on the agent and Kuminga than on Kerr quite frankly. If the Hawks have shown us anything, their wants are far in excess of his abilities. Didn't GSW offer him 5yrs $150m at one point! What a swerve for the Dubs that he didn't take it.

Lacob messed up, because there was a time when JK was rated far more highly than he deserved to be and that's when they should have cashed in. Could have had OG Anunoby at one point I believe.

As for Poole... well let's not forget that he really really sucked that last season. Awful! Got to be able to produce man! Say what you like about Draymond there's no way Poole was more valuable than Dray at that time. As much as Green irritates the hell out of me!

listenting to Rich Paul talking about 76ers players, I'm even more relieved that LeBron isn't in the Bay. Talking about how LeBron's presence will help Jaylen Brown with the media, Kellerman talking about trading Embiid. Talking about VJ Edgecombe. They're creating problems that could impact that team. Like it or now, Rich Paul is LeBron's mouthpiece. People are going to make the connection. LeBron had better get his boy under control otherwise there will be a PROBLEM. So happy Kerr and Steph don't have to deal with all that crap!

Interesting that Kevon Looney got married recently and neither Steph or Draymond were there. What does THAT mean??

Is it possible that Looney is pissed that they didn't try to stop the trade? Or is there even more to it? I can understand Draymond not being there as Jordan Poole was there. But Steph??

Didn't Kerr and Steph have to deal with Draymond's crap over the years? Not to mention, he's a Rich Paul client.

If you can deal with Draymond's crap, then you can deal with LeBron. All he has done over the years is show up and performed at a high level for over 20 years. And the fact that he's accepted a veteran minimum shows how unselfish he is (most other stars would not do it). LeBron is getting paid less than Al Horford, ffs.

If I can get 21/7/6 on a veteran mimimum, I'm taking it every time, damn the crap that may come with it. For sure Al Horford (or even Draymond) isn't giving the Warriors 21/7/6.

unselfish or a special kind of selfish. He's chasing a ghoast bro (spelling NOT a mistake)...

PS, It's one thing if a player, LeBron, Draymond,... is doing the talking. When the agent is the mouthpiece it's a PROBLEM. A passive aggressive girly man problem...

I live near Philly. I've witnessed the Ben Simmons debacle, the James Harden situation, etc. I think the biggest problem is culture. The guys on the Sixers have never won before. LeBron and Jaylen Brown have. LeBron has won everywhere he has been. If the Sixers are winning, I couldn't care less what LeBron and Jaylen Brown are doing outside of basketball, as long as they aren't breaking the law. If LeBron wants Rich Paul to be his mouthpiece, fine. If Jaylen wants to do his podcast, fine. As long as they show up and are helping the Sixers win, that's all that really matters to me. The Sixers have not won a Championship in over 40 years. If I get to see a parade for the Sixers, I really don't care what is happening in the background.

I hear you. That makes sense for a 76ers fan. I'm just pointing out that there's a risk this goes sideways if LeBron doesn't put a leash on Rich Paul. It's completely out of pocket for LeBron's agent to be talking about trading Embiid, or Jaylen Brown needing protection from the media etc. Those guys are going to see themselves as having just as much agency in that dressing room as the so called king (intentional refusal to capitalise the 'k') :)

Also Wiggins was very tight with Jordan Poole... My thing was they all should have stood up for Jordan Poole. Draymond is a made man meaning he is Step's bodyguard like Oakley was for Mike Jordan's non athletic or couldnt make a 15 foot jumpshot. Step aint going anywhere because Step means more to that community than anyone in recent history. I doubt if Step is chasing rings and if they can land a athletic wing that can shoot like Kawhi they can make it out of the play in status but not win a championship.

I actually wonder if the documentary he seems hell bent on doing will be a bigger distraction. He is trying to be like Mike…again, but in this day and age I could see that becoming a bigger issue than anything Rich Paul says.

I’m not sure we can say any team LeBron’s on has had poor chemistry or a lot of drama, aside from maybe that mess in 2022. But you throw in this documentary and it could be a problem as It’s way different than 1998 when no one even knew the Bulls “Last Dance” was being covered.

very true. But let's remember that even in Lala when Luka joined, LeBron still thought he was the alpha, even though it was clear that the owners, and I'm betting most of the players living the experience thought otherwise. I can see Maxey as a fellow Klutch guy deferring to him, but I'm not sure either Jaylen or Embiid are going to feel that way. They're MVP's in their prime years. I'm not sure Nurse as a championship coach is going to take his side either. Going to be a fun watch!

I think even LeBron knows at this point the team won’t be contenders if he’s the main option throughout the year, as that will burn him out before the playoffs. The recipe last year with LA was definitely ideal even if LeBron on his deathbed is a better player than Reeves.

But once we hit the playoffs we will see. Prime Embiid of course is much better than vampire LeBron, but Embiid will probably never get there again, especially in the playoffs. And given that, are we sure we’d count on Brown or Maxey to be alpha in the playoffs over 42 year old LeBron? I’m not sure on that.

ah! That's not my point though. They don't have to be alpha, but they sure as heck can defy LeBron in critical moments. I know JB has said flattering things about LeBron recently. But in the final 2 minutes of a close game, I don't see either Maxey or JB deferring to LeBron. That's when those two guys elevate and frankly LeBron's record is patchy

Man, we are talking LeBron compared to fucking Brown and Maxey, not MJ, lol. Despite that guy’s yapping, LeBron’s clutch stats in the playoffs are probably 2nd to Jordan. Buzzer beaters, true shooting % in crunch time, winning last 6 game 7’s while dominating, etc. JB had a nice Finals on a stacked Celtics team and Maxey hasn’t even been out of the 2nd round.

I just dont trust Embiid to have a complete playoff run.. without Joel .. I dont see them getting pass Detroit, Knicks and the Raptors in the playoffs

lol! You're missing my point. LeBron doesn't run to the clutch in the dying moments. Never has. The clutch stats they bring up are always over a longer stretch not two minutes, that guy's yapping was on point. Say what you want about Maxey and JB, it's not about their accolades or achievements, it's about who they are fundamentally. They crave that last moment, LeBron doesn't.

replace Detroit with the Heat and I agree with you... if Joel isn't there. Btw.. the word is, he's in the best off season shape he's ever been in, in his career. If that's true, we might all be having a different conversation at Christmas

If LeBron didn’t crave that last moment he wouldn’t have far more playoff game winning buzzer beaters than anyone in history. He also buried the Spurs in game 7 with a game ending jumper with less than a minute to go, and that was after scoring 17 in the 4th qtr of the game 6 comeback. Check out what he did to the Pistons in 2007 game 5 as a 22 year old, etc.

And dominating games while facing elimination is certainly part of being clutch. Won his last six game 7’s averaging over 35 points, stole the Celtics’ soul in 2012 game 6, destroyed GSW after being down 3-1, including the most clutch defensive play in history. He has rallied multiple times from a 2-0 hole, etc. This stuff is just pure hatred bro. In no universe am I trusting those guys over LeBron if we are talking all-time. Maybe now you’d have a case as he has struggled more in the 4th quarter of recent playoff runs.

Joel is not built like a natural basketball player.. his lower core (tree trunk legs up to his waist is huge) He is always gonna be prone for injury like Zion..
