so back to my original point. had she broken in game one the whole set would have been played differently. Anyway, like I said, it's her undoing and I've seen some other matches where she kind of gave the match away, like against Stearns in Austin.
You're correct Taylor has too much experience to play that sloppy during the match and especially on the critical points.. Taylor seems like its her against the world... I like her game. not really a fan of her attitude.

Just catching up on scores after My Nana Nap

Caty McNally wins 75 63 over Ruse
Will face Rybakina next and considering Elena's shaky form I am interested for that one
McNally was Iga's hardest opponent here last year

Vekic (31) loses to Krueger in 3 sets 36 76(3) 64 seeing how Vekic played well on the grass winning Queens, coming into Wimbledon this is a bit of a shock

Serena's movement to me is off, though she continues to serve well
Joint is not showing any nerves at all and breaks Serena to win the 1st set 63

Maya takes the opener. This is what happens when you don't have any matches under your belt. Rena had BPs and didn't return well enough to get the break and then of course relinquishes her serve.

Serena movement is off to me, though she is still serving well, Maya is a good ball striker though she hasnt had a good year

Serena hasnt added any variety to her groundstrokes.. No slice no serve and volley.. you cant beat this type of youngster or someone of today's game IMO

well, we knew the movement would be an issue. but this is why I said she was in no way ready to play singles. she needs matches, period.

remember what I said AP. It was the same ole Rena in the doubs. She was muscling the ball. She cannot hang from the baseline anymore and this was happening in 22 when she decided to step away

No she aint serving that well. she is not winning more than 50 percent of her first serves,, no body serves.. ,, no warm up matches ,, Joint shock off the early nerves in the first set and playing like a tour professional.

You being a tad harsh AP, Serena's serve has been okay, remember Serena hasnt played for 4 years, her movement to me is more of a concern

Yes ma'am you called this one.. Serena is gonna have to dig deep and find some of that ole Justin Henin type of hate to win this one.

This is just the match Maya needed to het her mojo back. Just think, if she was playing anyone else, she would probably be still in a funk.

Yes these youngsters tend to come out swinging they have nothing to lose, Maya thought her coach did a prank on her when he told her she was to face Serena in her first match

I do like Rena's outfit. Wish it was a one piece so she wouldn't play with it and adjust it so much
