Getting back to the present
I am surprised that Linda Noskova is still in the draw after winning both singles and doubles titles in Berlin, I thought she may withdraw
Linda's movement to me has improved out of sight and her transition game has to and has good hands at the net, it was her 2nd WTA title and now she has cracked the Top Ten, lets see how she fares by playing back to back tournaments

Well that was a short and sweet as Linda Noskova (5) champion from Berlin, was defeated in straight sets 61 64 by Ruse
Svitolina d Samsonova 63 36 62
Osaka (6) d Mertens 63 63
X.Wang d Ferandez 63 64
Alexandrova d Li 61 67(5) 61
Navarro d Lys 76(6) 63

BTW Osaka has reached the QFs on grass her best ever result

Andreeva beaten in straight sets 63 64 by Alexandrova who played really well, this was Mirra's first match on grass since RG, so I will give her some slack, transition from clay to grass isnt always easy
Tauson d WC Q Zheng 57 64 62, good to see Clara winning matches after injuries have derailed her so far this year
Q Ruse d Kalinskaya 75 62

Watching live, match between Swiatek and Navarro, Emma taking the 1st set 75, Iga's serve is all over the place, as I have mentioned before, one of the reasons she wont be defending her Wimbledon title this year,
Emma put in a poor 2nd set and Iga took advantage winning 62, going 3
Emma playing much better in the 3rd set has a break and leading 4-1, help me someone fix Iga's serve it is soo technically wrong, Wim seem to fix it last year when she won Wimbledon, this year it has gone back to being Ugly, Roig has a lot of work to do with Iga's serve
Well done Emma you reset your game and won 75 26 63!
Muchova (4) easy win over Begu 61 61

BTW
Venus/Eala have started their doubles match, against Harrison/Osborne
Venus/Eala won the 1st set 63 and the 2nd set 64

I am going to have a little nap its nearly 2am in the morning my time, how many days till the AO 2027 again :)

Okay back from my Nana Nap!

News just in,
Svitolina has withdrawn from her up coming QF match due to a right hip injury.

Iga needs to find someone who has more experience than Frankie Roig and some guy name Raphael .. MM maybe Andy Roddick is available to assist. ;)

Well from what I heard Roig is a good technical coach AP? the serve is all over the place, first the ball toss needs adjusting, when Wim Fissette coached her last year, to Wimbledon success he least fixed it in ways, one of the reason she won Wimbledon, now the technique has gone out the door and its poor she wont be defending Wimbledon this year.

I knew your post was tongue in cheek, still Roig has a lot of work to do with Iga, she starts bashing balls, etc, she really is a Hot Mess at the moment, apart from overall game, he mental state is a Mess, she has Daria her sports psychologist with her full time, at present it isnt working, quite frankly Daria is given too much say in what goes on with Iga, and her game, that is up to the coach

Nice come from behind win for Tauson. I thought @Hoergren would be on here following this one.

As Margaret pointed out, Alexandrova looked good in her win over Mirra. Swiatek - Iga's erratic game has been pointed out for a while, but she's also been folding like a cheap suit in the clutch. Another weak final set although in fairness Navarro is also playing well.

I have sent a message out to Hoergren a few weeks ago I hope he is okay
Navarro has a good game on grass and after having health issues, she has found her game
Iga is a Hot Mess, her game has Imploded, her serve is a mess, and she needs to build points, not bash shots, her new coach Roig has said time and time again You Need To Build Points? something she has not done
There is no way she will defend her Wimbledon title this year, Wim Fissette got her to play outside her comfort zone last year and did improve that erratic and poor technique that Iga has now on her serve, mentally when she is under pressure she loses it, that was also evident at RG earlier.
I give Mirra a pass, it is her first grass game coming off the clay, it can be a tricky to find your game on the grass

Happy for Emma. She's been through alot and I'm glad she's finding her mojo again. As for Iga, sorry, but not sorry she was dismissed today. If I had to hear that same kid shouting let's go Iga after every point in her next match, I don't know what I would do. Probably mute like I do w/ Saba.

Sorry about my absence - but it's VERY hot in Denmark right now - 30 c and more - but thanks for the support. Tauson playing well right now and has got her gameplay together again - here is the stats from her latest match. Zheng is a former #4 and is on her way back from a major injury and she'll be an xfactor in Wimbledon.

Good to see you back my friend I was getting worried, glad your okay, I know the heat in Europe is horrid at the moment, my daughter lives in London and she hates the heat
Good to see Clara has gotten over her injuries and now has been playing well.

It seems like the entire WTA tour has figured Iga with the exception of Coco..is it me or does Iga still has space that she is living in Coco’s head?

Iga currently has a H2H against Gauff 11-5
Iga also has a H2H against Qinwen Zheng 7-1
Those 2 are probably the 2 players she has a leading H2H compared to other players on the WTA

Osaka (6) defeating Alexandrova on grass in 60min 62 62? where all of a sudden has Osaka found her grass feet? she is into the SFs,

The 2nd seeds Nicholls/Mihalikova d Eala/Williams 63 62

Bit of an upset with Q Ruse d Navarro who has shown good form on grass, 64 62
