Mirra Andreeva has also withdrawn from Berlin which I feel is a good decision on her behalf she is due to play at Bad Hombourg

This is sad news indeed!
Vicky Mboko is out of Wimbledon, , I am trying to get further info on her injury, the only news I can find it is her left knee that was injured when she slipped in her singles match against Pliskova at Queens
I am wishing her a speedy recovery
Updated news, MCL on her left knee, all going well, Mboko should be back for USO swing, recovery time around 8 weeks

Aryna Sabalenka spoke to a psychologist after her Roland Garros loss, good thinking, Aryna previously had worked with a sports psychologist a few years ago.Lets see how she goes at Wimbledon she has the game to win, she has always worn her heart on her sleeve, and has let her emotions get in the way at the worst time, eg in her match against Shnaider that was a 'complete mental let down' seeing she was leading 4-1 and then mentally collapsed.

This is terrible news about Mboko. I was considering going back to the USO this year, but I wanted to see her among some of the other youngsters. :(

Yes Keli,
Vicky hasnt played many grass court tournaments, the grass was slippery, not worn in and she has a history of knee injuries in the past, thank goodness it is not season ending like Hilary Bapstise who had to have surgery earlier this month

Wimbledon announced they gave the Williams sisters a wild card for doubles. It will be nice seeing them compete together again. I find it odd that Serena wouldnt have played a few matches with Venus before the announcement if that was the intention.

Together, they will go out early. I think the intention was for both to play with younger partners. It's likely, Mboko's injury has caused them to shift things a bit.

I don’t have a clue what Serena is doing and Keli is correct they will get wiped off the court by a younger team. The two of them could have found dozens of younger other players that can cover for them. Well when will we know if Serena is going to play singles ?
