I agree with you for once. It is indeed a fact but it's also a fact that Nadal makes way less errors 'cos he's content to merely keep the ball in play most of the time and wear his opponents down. That's obviously the kind of tennis Nadal fans prefer but for fans of attacking tennis it sucks. Clearly, yes, you will make a lot more errors if you go for your shots more and attempt to end the points sooner by going for winners. That's not rocket science 'cos they won't all end up winners.
Sorry but the idea that Nadal is someone who merely keeps the ball in play and doesn't play attacking tennis makes you look like a fool. Nadal is a very offensive player, in fact his winners are some of the most spectacular in tennis bringing crowds to their feet for minutes. He attacks with his backhand, forehand and also always looks to move forward to the net.
